Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch Review

Sword-wielding hot chicks in schoolgirl outfits? Sign us up.

From Samurais to serpents, Sucker Punch seems to have it all. The movie takes us into the extremely vivid imagination of a girl named Babydoll (Emily Browning), whose dream world provides an escape from her darker reality. Locked away in a mental institution against her will, she has to find a way to escape before the mysterious High Roller (Jon Hamm) comes for her.

We really liked this movie. With [Director] Zach Snyder’s signature muted-colour, over-the-top special-effecty style of cinematography, Babydoll’s anime-inspired world is brought to life. The fact that all the girls in the movie (Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, and Jamie Chung) are hot as hell didn’t hurt either. We also loved the fact that Snyder didn’t fall into the 3D movie thing, because that is personally pissing us off with movies now.

And we didn’t even mention the soundtrack. Pretty f**kin’ cool.

Sometimes it seems like the movie is hard to follow, but it’s mainly because you’ll try to tie in Babydoll’s dream world with what’s going on in real life. Don’t do that. You’ll ruin the movie for yourself.

Well, that’s all from us! We honestly think that you’ll love Sucker Punch, and should definitely go watch it. Have fun!
