Following the new poster we mentioned yesterday, a new trailer has dropped for Resident Evil: Death Island, which will feature a cast of beloved Resident Evil characters, as they battle the rotting forces of bio-weapons organisation Umbrella Corporation, some of whom will meet for the first time in franchise history. Here’s the official synopsis:
‘D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.’
For longtime fans, with Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and Rebecca Chambers all being in the same film, Resident Evil: Death Island is likely the true sequel to Resident Evil 3, and definitely one for the fans. From what we can tell, the film is going to be absolute perfection.
