Check Out the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Trailer

The OG Rangers are back, and we couldn't be more stoked about it!

Netflix has just dropped the first full trailer for ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always,’ just in time for the premiere next month.

The trailer for the 30th anniversary special shows an older squad of Rangers, including Zack (Walter Jones), Kat (Catherine Sutherland), and Rocky (Steve Cardenas), coming together to take on Rita Repulsa, who has gotten a robotic body since their last encounter. You can watch the trailer below:

The special brings back David Yost as Billy, who hasn’t been part of the franchise in 27 years after leaving the show in 1996 following controversy. Additionally, it’s the first time Walter Jones has appeared on television alongside Cardenas and Sutherland.

The Power Rangers story also gains a new character in the form of Minh, played by Charlie Kersh, who is Trini Kwan’s daughter. Trini, the original Yellow Ranger, was played by Thuy Trang, who died in a car accident in 2001. Minh is seeking vengeance against Rita because Trini was killed during a battle. It’s also subtly implied that Minh is Zack’s daughter.

Although Austin St. John (Jason/Red Ranger I) and Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly/Pink Ranger I) will not appear in the special, the trailer confirms that morphed versions of their iconic characters will. In addition, while the trailer does not explain it, footage of the Green Ranger suggests that a tribute to the late Jason David Frank, who committed suicide in 2022, may be included.
