The original tag team fighter that started it all is back!

The highly-anticipated sequel to 2000’s legendary Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is coming to home consoles with all of the action from the arcades along with unique content and features that can’t be seen anywhere else.

In this newest installment of the Tekken series, players can experience advanced attack mechanics, ultimate combo move sets and new battle modes. The game also features innovative features like unlimited fighter combinations in the Fight Lab, Pair Play, where up to 4 players can each control a character, and other ways to lay the smackdown on your friends. You can also play the game in offline mode, which is in our opinion, always a good choice for ANY game. Another cool feature that we really liked are the environmental effects, where the character’s clothing condition changes in real-time with water & dirt effects. You may not think much of it, but to us, it adds a little something extra to the to the game.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 delivers new and returning characters in the largest roster the series has ever had, including old favorites like Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Christie Monteiro (love this lady!), Jin Kazama, and King, and a TON of new characters, including a WAY younger Heihachi Michima totalling more than 50 characters to choose from.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will receive a new stage featuring the Doggfather himself, Snoop Dogg. [Game producer] Namco Bandai announced during a press conference at the 2012 E3 that players who pre-order the game will receive early access to the level, which features Snoop sitting on a massive throne, surrounded by hotties. A video for a new Tekken-themed Snoop Dogg song called “Knocc ’em Down” was also premiered, where Snoop’s Tekken Tag Tournament 2 house party was disrupted by ladies that turned the game into “Strip Tekken”, which is NEVER a bad idea.

A lot of people wonder if whether Tekken can hold its own, in a world where more and more gamers want more depth and story with their gaming experiences. To that we say Tekken hasn’t let us down yet, so STFU.

Seriously people, get ready for the next level in fighting game awesomeness. Tekken Tag tournament 2 launches September 11, 2012.
