After 14 years, Pepsi is updating its brand identity with the introduction of a new logo. The soft drink company’s newest logo commemorates its 125th anniversary.
Since 1898, the brand has gone through a number of different logos — seven, if you were wondering. Originally known as Pepsi-Cola, the collection of vibrant logos has provided a look at how the brand has evolved over time. The first two iterations only featured a bright red colour, but the Pepsi brand has made red, white, and blue its signature colours since switching from Pepsi-Cola to Pepsi in 1950.
The new logo has an updated colour palette, which includes electric blue, black, white, and red. The slightly darker design was created with a contemporary feel in mind. The logo also features the brand’s signature globe design and new typeface, called ‘Pepsi Owners’.
Pepsi’s new logo will be introduced across the entire brand in the United States and Canada this fall. The global rollout has been set for 2024. What do you think of the new logo? Let us know in the comments below, on Facebook, or on Twitter.
