Jordan Brand has confirmed 8 March 2023 as the Air Jordan 2 Low ‘UNC to Chicago’ official release date. The Air Jordan 2 commemorates resident Jumpman Michael Jordan’s journey from the University of North Carolina to the Chicago Bulls. This theme may be familiar to Air Jordan fans, as it was first used on a patent leather-covered Air Jordan 1 High back in 2019, and once again on another release in 2020.
The shoe is dressed in a white, fire red, dark powder blue, and sail colour scheme that pays homage to Jordan’s college as well as his long-time NBA team. The upper is made of white leather with red contrasting accents on both the pipings and the Wings logo on the tongues, a subtle nod to Chicago.
The dark powder blue details that represent UNC can be seen on the back heel and a portion of the outsole, while the design is completed by a sail midsole. The shoe will come with an extra set of dark powder blue and fire-red laces.
The Air Jordan 2 Low ‘UNC To Chicago’ is set to release on 8 March 2023, for $160 USD at Swoosh and select Jordan Brand retailers.
