The official trailer for Marvel’s new ‘Moon Knight’ series has been dropped, and it’s already shaping up to be the darkest of Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series.
Moon Knight, based on what we’ve seen in the trailer, isn’t going to be your average Marvel TV show. A fantastic blend of action, comedy, and suspense – a bit like The Mummy meets The Bourne Identity meets 12 Monkeys. – Definitely looks more like a psychological thriller than a superhero show.
Last year, Marvel announced a lot of new shows for Disney+ starting in 2022, the majority of which will introduce new characters to the MCU. Moon Knight will be the first, set to premiere on March 30th as the first Marvel series of 2022. After this, She-Hulk (finally!), Ms Marvel, Secret Invasion, and a second season of the outstanding animated series What If? will follow. The shows’ release dates have yet to be confirmed, but they can’t be too off.
This is all on top of the studio’s upcoming theatrical releases, which include Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness on 6 May, Thor: Love and Thunder coming 8 July, and the highly anticipated Black Panther sequel on 11 November.
