Resident Evil is Capcom’s Fastest Selling Title

The world-famous title is breaking records and taking names.

Capcom announced today that Resident Evil, the famous survival horror game, has become their fastest selling digital title in history across North America and Europe. Launched on January 20 2015, game has also broken the record for the biggest selling day one digital title on the PlayStation Network.

Yoshiaki Hirabyashi, Capcom’s producer on the title commented “It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance.”

Resident Evil was originally released in 1996, then remade from the ground up in 2002 and continues to get a lot of praise in its recent remastered version. Both fans of the franchise and players new to the world of Resident Evil will definitely appreciate this title. The new remastered version includes updates to the visuals and sound, a new Very Easy Mode, and options for control and aspect ratio.
