Bandai Namco has released another Tekken 8 gameplay trailer, this time featuring Jun Kazama, Jin Kazama’s long-thought-dead mother. This marks Jun’s first playable appearance since Tekken 2, and judging by the trailer, she hasn’t been slacking. You can check out the trailer below:
In the trailer, Jun is seen using her Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts to cleanse opponents of their evils, which apparently translates to beating the absolute hell out of them. A brief reunion between Jun and her ex-lover and baby daddy, Kazuya Mishima, is also shown. This goes about as well as you’d expect from a mother meeting her son’s father and repeat attempted murderer.
Currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Tekken 8 is a sequel to 2017’s Tekken 7, and features an upgraded visual style powered by Unreal Engine.
Although no release date has been announced, Bandai Namco has revealed that Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Nina Williams, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Lars Alexandersson, and Jack-8 will return as playable characters in Tekken 8.
