Baltimore, Maryland. Not the first place we would have thought of for lovelies. But that’s exactly where up and coming model Shardé Marie hails from.
We were actually pleasantly surprised.
We had a chance to speak to Shardé Marie and get questions to our favorite Q&A.
What’s your full name?
Janai Keller but you can call me Shardé Marie
Shardé Marie? What inspired that name?
That is actually my middle name and when I told photographers my full name they suggested I should use that as my alias in modeling.
Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
I was born in Germany, Air Force Parents, on American soil, but Baltimore is all I know. Life growing up was good. Of course had some difficulties, like everyone else, but my parents we’re always there for me even though they separated when I was little.
What nationality are you?
African American
Do you go to college?
I did attend college, graduated last year from Johnson & Wales University – North Campus.
That’s great! What did you study, and what is your degree in?
I studied Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. I got my AA in Fashion and my BS in Marketing.
How long have you been modeling?
Been modeling on and off for a year now.
How did you get your start in modeling?
I got my start when I got to college and went to a model call for an entertainment company, took some pictures and just started developing from there.
Where have we seen you?
I am July in South Florida Beauty and Cuties Calendar; the April/May Issue of So Fine On-line Magazine; I.N.R.G. music video.
What do you like best about being a model?
The best thing about being a model is meeting new people and learning from them.
What would you be if you weren’t a model?
I plan on being a fashion event coordinator on top of me pursuing my modeling dreams as well.
What would the average person say about you?
They would probably say that I’m a real cool, down to earth, drama free person.
What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
I am probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet, but don’t take my kindness for weakness.
Are you a good dancer?
Not at all, I two-step. (laughs)
What do guys compliment you most on?
My lips.
Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
I am regular girl, so a regular Joe is fine for me.
Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
I am currently single, not ready to mingle. I’m just enjoying the single life drama free.
Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
Chocolate is my guilty pleasure.
What’s your biggest turn on?
Confidence
Do you consider yourself more of a “giver” or a “taker”?
I’m more of a giver.
What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
My ex brought me a necklace, without me knowing, and gave it to me in front of my friends. It was real cute.
If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?
Again since I’m so simple, just give me a Royal Blue Cadillac CTS with butter pecan inside then I’ll be happy.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m flexible.
What would you consider your strongest attribute?
My strongest attribute is my determination to succeed.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
I would love to visit Paris and I would of course take my family and anybody who is helping me succeed my dreams.

What do you do for fun?
I usually go out with my friends to a bar, or go to a lounge.
Do you like video games?
I can’t stand video games! (laughs)

I like basketball and my favorite team is the Boston Celtics
What are your dreams and goals?
My dreams are to one day open my own clothing store and become a fashion event coordinator. My goal is to basically take care of my family.
