Up until we got Ladii Jade’s photos, we hadn’t done ANY Q&A’s with any Asians for a long while. But Ladii Jade stopped the dry spell. This lovely has been in a lot of websites and music videos, including a music video with fellow New Yorker Maino. We’re glad that she found us, and here are her answers to our favourite Q&A.
So, “Ladii Jade” huh? That’s an interesting name. What made you choose it as your stage name?
“Jade” was given to me at a younger age, maybe at around 13. As I got a little older and started to model I added “Ladii” to it. It gives Jade a little bit more of a flavour.
Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
I was born and raised in New York City. Life growing up wasn’t difficult from what I remember. A little above the average.
What nationality are you?
American-born Chinese.
Do you go to college?
Yes, BMCC.
How long have you been modelling?
I have been modelling for about 8 years.
How did you get your start in modelling?
I started through an interest I had in cars, and then moved on to car shows and things took off from there.
Where have we seen you?
Numerous amounts of promotional events for several celebs, a featured model on Nutek.com , Remington’s Angel, Maino Video, and Swedish House Mafia Video – just to name a couple.
What do you like best about being a model?
It is something I truly enjoy, getting to meet new and amazing people in the industry.
What would you be if you weren’t a model?
If I weren’t a model I would be in the field of broadcasting, which I am still trying to pursue.
What would the average person say about you?
The average person tells me I look innocent because I look so much younger than my age in person, and also that I am silly and loads of fun. Never a dull moment with me!
What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
I am serious about ALL that I do and take NO shortcuts.
Are you a good dancer?
I think I’m good! I definitely won’t make a fool of myself in a club.
What do guys compliment you most on?
My legs and my lips.
Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
I am very open-minded, as long as there’s chemistry.
Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
No, not seeing anyone – been single for nearly 4 years!
Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
Well… that’s MY little secret!
What’s your biggest turn on?
Nice smile and beautiful eyes. Someone who is motivated and takes good care of themselves.
Do you consider yourself more of a “giver” or a “taker”?
A giver.
What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
Rose petals, strawberries, champagne, soft music and home-cooked FOOD! Romantic night alone just us two.
If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?
Well, if we aren’t talking luxury, I would want the ’98 Toyota Supra.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Yes, a couple.

What would you consider your strongest attribute?
My ability to stay true to who I am.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
Hong Kong, and I would take my son.
What do you normally sleep in?
Huge tee and shorts.
What is your favorite food?
I love soul/southern food.
Who is your favorite comedian?
I don’t have one.
What do you do for fun?
When I do have time for fun, I like to spend it with my close friends and family, go to movies, and clubs.
Do you like video games? If so, what do you play?
Nah, I’m not a gamer.
Are you into sports? Do you have a favorite sports team?
Not much of a sports person either. I do play volleyball, though.
What are your dreams and goals?
To be able to live comfortably and being able to provide for myself, my son, and family without help from others.
