Whether she’s shooting pics for magazines, or hanging at the Playboy mansion, we’re sure that the beautiful Lana Gastello is definitely an attention-grabber wherever she goes.
We got a chance to speak to Lana, and get answers to our favourite Q&A.
So Lana, where were you born, and how was your life growing up?
I was born in Stockton, California, and life was great growing up! 2 great parents and 2 awesome older brothers. Very happy and fun childhood.
What nationality are you?
I am Mexican and Black.
Do you go to college?
Not at this time, but when I go back to school, I would like to get into laser skin therapy.
How long have you been modelling?
About 4-5 years now. Time has gone by too fast!
How did you get your start in modelling?
I learned about a site called Model Mayhem and I started from that. I realized I don’t want it to just be a hobby, to me it’s more than that. So I’ve been keeping up on everything and doing interviews and features ever since!

Do you consider yourself famous?
Not at all. I’ve been recognized a couple of times and have the occasional email asking for an autograph, but I don’t consider myself famous at all!
Do people recognize you when they see you? How do they react?
I just hear, “Lana?”
What do you like best about being a model?
It’s my creative outlet. I can be into fashion or just get dolled up and be sexy. I also like meeting new people in the industry and making new friends.
What would you be if you weren’t a model?
Probably a laser skin therapist.
Laser skin therapist? That’s a pretty interesting career choice! Why?
Because I’ve always struggled with my skin, and I know how frustrating it can be to deal with. I’d like to help out other people with their situation or insecurities too. Also besides that, I think it would be pretty cool to remove someone’s unwanted ugly tattoo. (laughs)
What would the average person say about you?
They would say that I’m funny, crazy (in a good way), super laid back and very friendly.
What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
I’m not a big fan of being skinny. People assume I diet or am this way on purpose but I want everyone to know that I don’t! I’m a meat eater, I’m not picky, and I love food! Just can’t gain weight for anything (laughs).
Are you a good dancer?
No. I’m not a dancer at all! (laughs)
What do guys compliment you most on?
Maybe my eyes? I have “doe” eyes.
Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
Any of those are fine, as long as he’s sweet, tall, cute, and funny. Laughter is a must!
Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
I’m not really seeing anyone right now… at least I don’t think so. (laughs) You might stand a chance if you can make me laugh!
Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
Not really! I would say guilty pleasures, but there’s no guilt!
What’s your biggest turn-on?
Someone who can make me laugh. I love wittiness.
Do you consider yourself more of a “giver” or a “taker”?
I would say more of a giver.
What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
Had 2 dozen roses sent to me at work. That was unexpected!
If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?
I really like the Mercedes McLaren. The word “gorgeous” for that car would be an understatement.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can impersonate people pretty well (laughs).
What would you consider your strongest attribute?
I can make friends with just about anyone.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
I would like to go somewhere tropical with my man (whoever that may be) by my side.
What do you normally sleep in?
Printed pyjamas! Flannel, satin, whatever; if it has animals all over it, I’m happy (laughs). Did I mention I’m goofy?
What is your favourite food?
I love Indian food! I may not know all of the names of the dishes, but it’s all yummy to me!
Who is your favourite comedian?
I don’t really have one certain favourite, but I love Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, and Sinbad.
What do you do for fun?
I like to just hang out, be online and do my model submissions, all that good stuff. Might not sound that exciting, but it’s comfortable and because of being online, I’ve gotten some magazine work out of it! So hey! (laughs).
Do you like video games? If so, what do you play?
I’m not a gamer!
Are you into sports? Do you have a favourite sports team?
I actually dislike sports (laughs). If I had to choose a team though, I would be a fan of the Colts.
What are your dreams and goals?
My dreams and goals are to be a steady model. Whether it’s magazine work or catalogue work, I would like to be steady and secure. And it wouldn’t hurt to be a recognizable face either!
