Häagen-Dazs x Pierre Hermé Ice Cream Announced

The only catch is that you may have to travel abroad to try them.

Häagen-Dazs recently unveiled its latest limited-edition treat, which was created in collaboration with French pastry chef Pierre Hermé, known as the ‘Picasso of Pastries’. Their new invention, macaron-infused ice cream, is an exciting first for the brand and the renowned pastry chef.

Hermé combines Häagen-Dazs’ velvety ice cream with his top-secret macaron recipe to create the sweetest of flavours balanced with an almond flavour for a hint of nuttiness. Because the brand wants to provide a “pure French amour taste experience,” the new ice cream comes in well-known flavour combinations such as strawberry and raspberry, double chocolate ganache, and yuzu and lemon. ‘For the past twenty years, I have constantly been creating and reinterpreting my macaron recipes, which is my favourite creative terrain,’ says Pierre Hermé of the new collaboration. My macarons are my identity so to put them in an ice cream I needed to work with the very best. Häagen-Dazs is just as passionate as me when it comes to quality, taste and crafting things in a new way so collaboration was established from the first bite.’

It’s safe to say the world of summery desserts will never be the same. One catch? Because the Häagen-Dazs x Pierre Hermé ice cream is only available in Europe and Korea, you may have to travel abroad to try these delectable new treats.

Hermé’s flavours will first be available in the United Kingdom and France, before expanding to other countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East in the spring. If you live in the United Kingdom, you can get the tasty snacks by going to your local Tesco or Sainsbury’s.
