Heinz lovers are a passionate lot. Ed Sheeran, who has a Heinz bottle tattoo on his right arm, is among the many Heinz fans. Inspired by their enthusiasm, Heinz Brazil has teamed with Brazilian creative agency SOKO and tattoo ink manufacturer Electric Ink to develop its very own red tattoo ink. Check out the video below:
Heinz developed the red tattoo ink, which is based on the company’s official Pantone colour and made from carefully selected non-harmful ingredients, with the same attention to detail that it uses to make ketchup. The concept came about in response to increasing restrictions and bans on the ingredients used in tattoo inks, with red ink being infamous for being the most problematic colour, having been shown to cause allergic reactions and other complications.
In conjunction with the launch of the ink, Heinz tapped five notable Brazilian tattoo artists, including Leo Neguin, Elissa Rocabado, Renan Cruz, Fernando Felix, and Helena Obersteiner, to create 57 original Heinz tattoo stencils, which will be made available online for all, with the ink expected to be ‘available soon in the best parlours’ in the coming days.
