While League of Legends fans await an update on the highly-anticipated fighting game Project L, Riot Forge and Digital Sun have announced the release of The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, a new title set in the League of Legends universe. You can check out the teaser trailer below:
The Mageseeker is a 2D pixel action RPG set in Demacia, a powerful kingdom in the world of Runeterra. The kingdom aims to prevent the use of what it determines to be forbidden magic while using magic itself (this falls under hypocrisy, right?). Players control Sylas, a mage now freed from captivity, and on a quest for vengeance against the oppressive Mageseekers. Sylas aims to ‘bring Demacia to its reckoning,’ one Mageseeker at a time, wielding the chains that once bound him.
The Mageseeker arrives alongside a number of other single-player League Of Legends Story titles coming this year, including 2D action platformer Conv/rgence, centred around the time-twisting Ekko, and Song of Nunu, a heartwarming adventure game following the beloved champions Nunu and Willump as they search for Nunu’s long-lost mother.
The Mageseeker: A League Of Legends Story is set to release on Nintendo Switch, Playstation, Xbox, GOG, Steam, and Epic Games in Autumn 2023.
