Before we get started with our Maino interview, if you live on the East Coast, chances are very good that you’ve heard of the New York-based rapper. When we first saw him, he was featured on the MTV show ‘World of Jenks’, and watched him smack the absolute hell out of the show’s host.
That was kind of funny, actually. Moving on…
We listened to some of this guy’s music afterwards, and you know what? The guy is UBER-TALENTED. This guy has performed with some major players in the music industry, including T-Pain, Young Jeezy, Swizz Beatz, and a ton more. Some of our favourite songs are ‘All of the Above’, ‘Let it Fly’, and ‘Million Bucks’, and our list keeps growing. If you’ve never heard any of his music, you’re seriously missing out. Even the people here who aren’t into rap thought that his music was good, which says something about this guy’s talent.
We were invited to speak with Maino while he was in Chicago promoting his new album ‘The Day After Tomorrow’, scheduled to be released in January 2012. We were at Lacuna Art Studios on Chicago’s south side.
Check out the Maino interview below on ChuloMagTV! We apologise in advance for the audio. We didn’t know that it was going to be that loud when we were there, and forgot to bring a microphone.
