The fans voted. We got the results. And we’re proud to announce the official winners of the 2013 Chulo Magazine Awards!
For those of you that don’t know, the Chulo Magazine Awards is our (first of hopefully many) awards event that recognises the accomplishments of the past year in the entertainment industry, in nine categories including Best Movie, Video Game, Comic Book, Television Series, Album, and New Music Artist, as well as Sexiest Cosplay, Glamour, and Instagram Models of the Year.
Over the past couple of weeks, we gave our readers a chance to vote for their favourites to win in the 2013 Chulo Magazine Awards — and vote you did! We honestly didn’t expect the amount of votes we got (especially for the Glamour Model category), but it was awesome to see, nonetheless. With all this said, let’s get to the winners!
You all decided that Marvel Studios’ much-hyped The Avengers was the Best Movie of 2012. The super-powered epic only beat Ben Affleck’s Argo by only a single vote. BioWare’s Mass Effect 3 won Best Video Game, beating SEVERAL heavy contenders including Assassin’s Creed III, Sleeping Dogs, and Halo 4.
Filipina cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao won Cosplay Model of the Year, against notable cosplayers Liz Katz, Yaya Han, and Japan’s Enako. The Glamour Model of the Year award went to British bombshell Alice Goodwin, who won against a bevvy of buxom beauties including Keeley Hazell, Vida Guerra, Ai Shinozaki, and Lucy Pinder. Model Chantel Zales won the Social Media Model of the Year category, beating IG beauties including Cara Delevingne, Chrissy Teigen, and Kate Upton.
