The iconic Jack & Coke cocktail will now be available as a ready-to-drink option thanks to a collaboration between Brown-Forman, the makers of Jack Daniel’s, and Coca-Cola.
The announcement acknowledges the missed opportunity to for Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola to collaborate on the traditional Tennessee whiskey cocktail sooner. However, this ‘missed opportunity’ is probably more so on Coca-Cola’s end, as Jack Daniel’s already sells a ‘Whiskey & Cola’ as part of their canned cocktail line, which launched back in 2020.
‘This relationship brings together two classic American icons to deliver consumers a taste experience they love in a way that is consistent, convenient, and portable,’ Lawson Whiting, CEO and President of Brown-Forman Corporation.
‘Brown-Forman has been a leader in the ready-to-drink category since we launched our first Jack Daniel’s RTD more than 30 years ago. Coca-Cola perfectly complements Jack Daniel’s and our existing RTD offerings, enabling us to accelerate expansion and continue to grow our business around the world.’
The ready-to-drink Jack & Coke will be available in a 350ml can with a 5% alcohol content, but the proof of the final product will vary depending on the market.
The new canned beverage will be sold in markets around the world, with the first launch scheduled for late 2022 in Mexico, and will also be available in both full-sugar and Zero versions.
