It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a new Judd Apatow comedy. “The King of Staten Island”, Apatow’s first feature since 2015’s Trainwreck stars Pete Davidson as Scott, a slacker tattoo artist dealing with life after the death of his firefighter father. The trailer also shows Marisa Tomei as Scott’s mother, Margie, and Bill Burr as her new love interest, Ray.

The King of Staten Island was due to hit theatres this summer, but will instead be landing on VOD on digital platforms 12 June 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. You can check out the full trailer below.

In real life, Davidson’s dad — who’s name is Scott — was an NYC first responder who died on duty during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The comedian was 7 years old at the time.
