A lot of us here are huge fans of Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman from the 1970s. And a few years ago we were all talking about Jessica Biel being a great casting choice for Wonder Woman…
Until we saw Gal Gadot.
During the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con on 26 July, director Zack Snyder unveiled the first image of Wonder Woman, played by the Israeli model/actress on his Twitter page. The photo, which looks like a Xena: Warrior Princess/Sucker Punch mash-up got a ton of cheers from the crowd. a sword-wielding Gadot in some pretty badass armour.
Check out the pic below:
Gal Gadot signed on as Wonder Woman back in January. Her contract includes Dawn of Justice and at least one solo Wonder Woman movie. We can only hope that she will be in the Batman v Superman follow-up Justice League.
‘Dawn of Justice’ will be the theatrical debut of Wonder Woman, as well as Ben Affleck as the newest Batman. All we can say is that if this is any indicator of what’s in store, then 2016 can’t get here fast enough.
And don’t worry Lynda. We still loves you.
