The prologue to this summer’s upcoming Justice League event – the epic “Darkseid War” saga begins with Justice League #40. Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips, squares off against the Anti-Monitor in a battle for the cosmos, with the Justice League in the middle of it all.
This has been building up since Justice League #1, and now, the Justice League and the rest of the DC Universe will come face to face with the two most powerful and dangerous entities in existence when they both set their sights on Earth. DC Comics also says that issue #40 will introduce a new villain that has a connection to both Darkseid and a member of the Justice League.
Written by Geoff Johns, Justice League #40 has some amazing killer art from Justice League regular Jason Fabokand includes contributions from an all-star lineup of guest artists, including Phil Jimenez, Dan Jurgens, Scott Kolins, Jim Lee, Kevin Maguire and Jerry Ordway.
Justice League #40 goes on sale 29 April, 2015, and will also be offered as a combo pack edition with a redemption code for a digital download. The regular edition will retail for $3.99 USD, and the combo pack edition for $4.99 USD.
