You’ve seen beautiful East Coast model Joanna Shari in Smooth Magazine, Show Magazine, and a lot more! We’re not entirely sure how she isn’t more well-known, but we’re glad that we found her.
Why we love Joanna Shari
Joanna Shari was born and raised just outside of the Newark area of New Jersey, calling herself a ‘true Jersey girl’. If the women of ‘Jersey Shore’ looked anything like Joanna, we’d be bigger fans of the show.
Before she became a model, Joanna was a Graphic Designer. She graduated from The Chubb Institute-Parsippany with a diploma in Multimedia design. She designed her own website and designs all of her print media.
She never started off trying to be a model, either. She was discovered while after being contacted to design a couple of websites for a modelling agency and went on to try a test shoot herself. Being happy with the results, she wanted to take on the modelling industry. Soon after, she was discovered by a manager and agency, and the rest is history.
While most people would think that she is bi-racial, she isn’t. Joanna is of Italian, Irish, and Polish heritage.
People frequently ask her ‘what kind of last name is Shari?’, because it doesn’t sound Italian. It’s because Shari isn’t her last name, it’s her middle name.
This lady works out religiously, because she ‘not only wants to look good now, but wants to look good in years to come.’ We don’t think looking good later is going to be a problem for her.
