If you’ve been fans of Chulo Magazine for a while now, you probably remember New York-based model Stormi Maya from her appearance in the December 2015 issue of Chulo Magazine. However, if you’ve never heard of this buxom beauty, then give us a moment to change that.
Born Stormi Maya Jellison, this lovely hails from Bronx, New York, USA. Though she was born in Massachusetts, she has stated that she considers New York to be her home.
While it seems that Stormi Maya appeared from almost nowhere, she actually began modelling at the age of sixteen, and had already appeared in a number of music videos and magazines by the age of eighteen.
Stormi began acting shortly after she began modelling. She started her career as an actress off-Broadway in New York, and her on-screen debut came in 2017 with the short film ‘Cycle: Maria’s Story’. In the same year, she starred in ‘Playing with Dolls: Havoc’, and had a recurring role as Clarissa Heilbern in the TV show ‘Changelings’.
Stormi Maya’s fame grew after she began posting selfies on Instagram, attracting the attention of several publications, including Playboy — most likely because she’s a sexy selfie MASTER. As a result, Stormi became a Playboy Playmate, propelling her to the next level of her career.
Stormi has made it clear that she doesn’t want to be known solely as an Instagram model, and that her true passion is to be an actress, which appears to be fueling her desire to pursue and succeed as an actress.
Stormi has starred in a number of films and television shows since beginning her acting career, including Tanya in ‘Death Kiss’ and android Quin in ‘2050’, both of which were released in 2018. She also starred alongside Cardi B and Jennifer Lopez in 2019’s Hustlers as Angel, and as Yennifer Clemente in the second season of Spike Lee’s Netflix series ‘She’s Gotta Have It’.
On top of all this, Stormi Maya debuted her first Rap Ep, ‘Body of Work’ back in 2019. She also starred in Rick Ross and Drake’s ‘Gold Roses’ music video the same year.
As we mentioned, Stormi has said that she doesn’t want to be seen as just an Instagram model, wanting to be an actress. But we’re totally glad she’s managing an awesome balance of both.
