Chinese-Canadian model Jessie Yang is another one of those lovelies that we were happy to see a submission from. She has only been modelling for about a year and a half, but she’s already making major moves. Appearing all over the interwebs, she’s also going to have her own show called ‘Young Artists Interactive’, coming out in 2013 on Rogers TV Peel Region. We’re sure that this hottie is bound for greatness.
We got Jessie’s responses to our favourite Q&A:
So Jessie, where were you born, and how was life growing up?
I was born in China, I came from a very traditional family. My parents had high expectations in my education and discipline.
What nationality are you?
Chinese.
Do you go to college?
Yes, I’m currently in school for Psychology and Nutrition.
How long have you been modelling?
A year and a half!
How did you get your start in modelling?
Dragged into a photo shoot by a friend photographer.
Where have we seen you?
Online features, local magazines and newspapers, and a few commercials.
Do you consider yourself famous?
Nope, I consider myself a very normal girl.
Do people recognize you when you’re out and about? If so, how do they react to or treat you?
Surprisingly it has happened more than I’d expected. Usually, they would stare at me for a while and then come up to me and ask if I’m the model that they have “liked” on Facebook.
What do you like best about being a model?
Being able to express my creativity!
What would you be if you weren’t a model?
A criminal lawyer or FBI Agent.
What would the average person say about you?
That I’m funny and weird.
What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
I love food! (laughs) LOVE IT!
Are you a good dancer?
(laughs) Maybe in a club when I’m drunk.
What do guys compliment you most on?
That I’m pretty or sexy.
Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
MMA fighter guy’s body, nerdy type’s brain and regular Joe’s personality!
Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
(laughs) I’m single and ready to mingle!
Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
FOOD! FAT FOOD! DELICIOUS FOOD!
What’s your biggest turn-on?
Men in suits. Hmm… Yum!
Do you consider yourself more of a “giver” or a “taker”?
It really depends; I guess I’m pretty balanced.
What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
Cooked for me. I find that very attractive.
If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?
I want a pink Cadillac!
Do you have any hidden talents?
Not really. I’m pretty much an open book!
What would you consider your strongest attribute?
I don’t give up, my perseverance!
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
I wanna go to Hawaii; I’d take my family with me
What do you normally sleep in?
Nothing! Just kidding, I sleep in a robe.
What is your favourite food?
That is a very difficult question. Hmm… Gelato?

What do you do for fun?
Reading magazines, going to yoga class or watching a movie.
Do you like video games? If so, what do you play?
Does Angry Birds count?
Are you into sports? Do you have a favourite sports team?
Not really!
What are your dreams and goals?
I want to be a well-known actress, have my own business and be an inspiration to other young girls.
