Meet Iranian Beauty Emily Kon

Did you know that Iran had women like this? Neither did we. Clearly we have to get out of the office more.
19 October 2012

So Emily, where were you born, and how was life growing up?
I was born in Hammond, Louisiana. My life was anything but typical growing up. My mom and dad split up when I was young and I was raised by a single mom for a long time. She did the best she could with the resources that she had. It was not easy raising two kids on a limited income. While in grade school I was placed into foster care and was moved around quite a bit along with my brother before we were placed into our adoptive family’s home. There were ups and downs and struggles in my life. It was not the easiest or best life, but it was the one I was given and it made me into who I am today.

What nationality are you?
Iranian American.

Did you go to college?
I actually graduated college in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

How long have you been modelling?
A little over a year.

How did you get your start in modelling?
You know, I have always wanted to be a model, but life just kinda got in the way. So I was like what the heck I am going to just do this thing. So I signed up on a couple of online sites and things just went on from there.

Where have we seen you?
I have been featured in HSN Magazine, and Bizsu magazine. I was a centrefold for Ride Hard Magazine. I am a Miss OooLaLaa model, and am on their website as well as their Facebook page. I am a Patriot girl, so you can also see me featured on their website and Facebook page. I have been in a couple of music videos and have attended many events around the Saint Louis/ IL area. I also have a pretty good fan base on Facebook, and my Twitter account has steadily been increasing.

Do you consider yourself famous?
At the moment, I would not consider myself famous, although now I feel like a lot more people do know who I am. But famous I am not, at least not yet anyway.

Do people recognize you when you’re out and about? If so, how do they react to or treat you?
I have gotten stopped in bars, stores, etc by people that knew who I was. Everyone was friendly to me and supported what I do and encouraged me to keep doing it. I sometimes actually feel like a celebrity when that happens. Ha, ha. It is a good feeling.

What do you like best about being a model?
I like the opportunities that it gives you, as far as getting work, and meeting new people, and getting to do new things. I am a social person, and love going out and meeting new people. I am also a firm believer of living life to the fullest, because you only get one life. Why look back and say “I wish”, just go out and do it!

What would you be if you weren’t a model?
I actually am a full-time nurse. I work in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit in my hospital. It can be very stressful at times, but I love what I do.

What would the average person say about you?
I am a genuine person; I have a good heart and can be a little too nice at times.

What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
There is more to me than just a pretty face, I am an educated woman, I know what I want, and I go for it. I am not afraid to take chances. I am confident in my abilities, and if I do fall, I dust myself off and try again.

Are you a good dancer?
Of course especially after a little bit of whisky!

What do guys compliment you most on?
My smile and boobs are tied.

Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
Hmm… Tough call. 60%MMA, 30%regular Joe, 10 % nerdy.

Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
Right at the moment I am not seeing anyone, and maybe… if you play your cards right!

Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
Chocolate and shopping!

What’s your biggest turn-on?
Confidence. Kissing, especially on the neck. Guitars, tattoos.

Do you consider yourself more of a ‘giver’ or a ‘taker’?
Giver for sure.

What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
Secretly renting a hotel room and having a bubble bath drawn, candles lit and soft music playing.

If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?
I am a Jeep girl, so I would love to have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Call of Duty edition. Those things are badass!

Do you have any hidden talents?
None that I can tell.

What would you consider your strongest attribute?
My down-to-earth, laid-back personality.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
Brazil, with my best girlfriends. They know who they are!

What do you do for fun?
Shop, concerts, and go out.
