One of the most iconic images of the twentieth century is Ursula Andress‘ first appearance in the 1962 Bond movie, Dr. No. And despite the passage of time, nobody has rocked a bikini quite like Andress.
The Swiss actress, who was then twenty-six years old at the time, embodied the perfect woman as she emerged from the water, her bikini perfectly fitted… Curves abound, beautiful wide eyes, wet hair slicked back, and pouty lips. No model, actor, or pop star has ever surpassed her… until now.
To celebrate the launch of the Victoria’s Secret Swim 2013 collection, they shot a behind-the-scenes video of none other than Candice Swanepoel, doing what she does best. In this video, the uber-hot South African emerges from the ocean like Andress’ Bond girl, Honey Ryder, modelling a tiny gold bikini, and then writhes on the sand.
The video campaign for the bikini — aptly referred to as ‘The Very Sexy Bandeau’ — is backed by the slogan, ‘Turn Up The Heat’, which we think is particularly appropriate.
