Pennsylvania native Caitlin O’Connor has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated, FHM, Maxim, and tons more places. She’s out to show that she’s more than just a pretty face! The uber-hottie was first seen as a regular on the MTV series Chelsea Settles, as well as guest spots on HBO’s Entourage. Adding to her already impressive resume, you can catch her as Mirabelle on the Machinima series Tumbleweed.
We got a chance to catch up with this lovely, and get her responses to our favourite Q&A
So Caitlin, how does it feel being part of Chulo Magazine?
It feels great.
Where were you born, and how was life growing up?
I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Life was wonderful growing up in a small town. I had good friends.
What nationality are you?
I am Irish.
Your career has kind of been all over the place! Did you start off as an actress or model?
I started off as a model.
We first saw you on MTV’s ‘Chelsea Settles.’ Was that your first gig?
That was pretty much my first time on national TV, yes!
Where else have we seen you?
You’ve probably seen me on your Halloween Costume package or over at SI.com as a model.
What kind of roles do you typically go for?
I love comedies! And any role as a badass!
Do you consider yourself more of an actress or model?
More of an actress!
What is the most difficult part of acting for you?
The most difficult part of acting is getting the right auditions and a good agent.
Do you consider yourself famous?
No. (laughs)
Do people recognize you when you’re out and about? If so, how do they react to or treat you?
Sometimes people recognize me from Maxim.com, different events or Facebook and Twitter.
What do you like best about being an actress?
I love performing and have always loved being in front of the camera.
What would you be if you weren’t a model or acting?
A veterinarian. I love animals.
You’re a bit of a humanitarian, right? You do a lot for a few non-profit organizations. Which ones do you do the most for, and why did you choose them?
I support Generosity Water and Dogs for the Deaf, among others. Helping those in need and giving back to my community in any way that I can is important to me.
What would the average person say about you?
The average person would say I’m a shy, sweet person and I love having fun.
What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?
I enjoy writing and went to UCLA.
Are you a good dancer?
Yes.
What do guys compliment you most on?
My eyes.
What kind of guys are you into? Do you like the nerdy type, MMA fighter guy or the regular Joe?
A nerdy guy who is into martial arts or business, regular Joes with ambitions are awesome and nerds are even cooler.
Are you seeing anyone? Do we stand a chance with you?
Well, I’m not married.
Do you have any secret weaknesses or guilty pleasures?
My guilty pleasure is television and cuddling.
What’s your biggest turn-on?
I am always attracted to guys with glasses.
Do you consider yourself more of a “giver” or a “taker”?
Giver.
What is the most romantic thing a guy has done for you?
Bought me a ring and took me on a trip.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can walk on stilts!
What would you consider your strongest attribute?
I’m stubborn and I never give up.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?
I would go to Paris with my grandmother just for fun!
What do you normally sleep in?
Nothing.
What is your favourite food?
Sushi.
Who is your favourite comedian?
Me.
What do you do for fun?
I laugh and go to amusement parks. I eat a lot too, that’s fun.
You’re sort of the resident IGN hottie. Do you like video games? If so, what do you play?
I play video games like Batman Arkham Asylum and Little Big Planet. I have a PS3.
Are you into sports? Do you have a favourite sports team?
I love football and I’m a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
You already have the whole actress thing going for you. What’s next for you?
I’m writing my own comedy skits lookout YouTube and hopefully network TV soon!
