We’re pretty sure that you’ve seen Dominican model Rosa Acosta before. If you haven’t, then give us a moment to introduce you. Thanks to the viral spread of her stretching videos, Rosa Acosta has become well-known in Hip-Hop music and urban culture, and has been seen in a ton of magazines, including King Magazine, Smooth Magazine, XXL Magazine, and in various television segments.
Before her coming to America, she was a professional dance instructor and member of the DR’s national ballet team. Starting ballet at the age of four, she excelled in classes at the Centro de la Cultura in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She later moved on to the Instituto de Cultura y Arte, where she was labelled one of the most gifted students in the school.
Doing more than just ballet, Rosa Acosta was nominated twice by the Secretaria de Estado de la Juventud for her work in the category of Cultural Development.
In 2004, Rosa Acosta officially began modelling. Her first jobs were work featured in magazines and on television networks in the DR. In 2006, she began to attract international attention in the United States. Acosta moved to the US receiving work instantly and building a buzz in the industry fast.
