The coffee roaster has condensed its twenty years of sourcing, roasting, and brewing experience into a custom process to create instant espresso, setting a new standard for instant coffee.
Craft Instant Espresso enables the affordable and simple creation of delicious cafe-quality espresso drinks, specifically iced lattes, at home. Developed over the last three years, it eliminates the need for expensive machines and brewing expertise in order to provide espresso — the pure essence of coffee.
Blue Bottle Coffee carefully selects quality beans and roasts them to ensure gentle extraction and freeze-drying for Craft Instant Espresso. The aromatic crystals that form add dimension and richness to the espresso that you can see and taste. In blind taste tests, Blue Bottle quality assurance experts consistently rank the iced latte Craft Instant Espresso makes at or above traditional iced espresso lattes.
To make a Craft Instant Espresso iced latte, combine 1 oz. hot water and 4 g (1 tsp) instant coffee, according to Blue Bottle’s instructions. Pour in 6-8 oz. of the milk of your choice over ice.
Craft Instant Espresso will be available in a 12-serving jar (7 November 2022) and a package of five pre-portioned single-serve bags (5 December 2022) for $25 and $15 USD online and at all Blue Bottle cafe locations.
