It’s been a while since we saw the first trailer for ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’. Despite the fact that the title made waves at San Diego Comic-Con and a panel at Brazil’s Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) revealing some major details about the film, we’ve been waiting for new footage for the upcoming adventure, especially with the release date quickly approaching.
Well, Paramount apparently heard our incessant bitchin– erm, cries for a new trailer, and decided to release a new one to give viewers a better look at the story and its characters. If you didn’t already know, the plot revolves around Edgin (Chris Pine), who joins an unlikely group in order to retrieve a lost relic, but is forced to learn to work as a team when nothing goes as planned.

From what we can tell, the trailer shows that Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves seems to be doing its best to honour geek culture and D&D tradition. Co-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein even collaborated with RPG publisher Wizards of the Coast to find a unique aesthetic for the new franchise. Their decision extends even to the dragons in the story, which belong to several species—a distinction that is largely overlooked in stories about the magnificent winged creatures.
Along with Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Hugh Grant, Justice Smith, and Sophia Lillis are all part of the illustrious cast of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The script is co-written by the directors themselves, along with screenwriter Michael Gillio, who also wrote and directed the 2001 comedy Kwik Stop.
