Okay, we’re not sure exactly how the hell we’ve missed hearing about 138 Water. Calling themselves “the World’s First Fashion Water,” this Beverly Hills-based company have been making a name for themselves for over a year now, since starting in late 2013. The name 138 Water comes from the meaning of the three numbers. 1 stands for unity, 3 for trinity and 8 for infinity.
The thing that makes these guys awesome, however, is their choice of marketing. Their ads feature uber-sexy models including Anastacia Nova, Samantha Gil, Charlie Riina, Katelynn Ansari, Jessica Hinton, Keyara Watts, Yasmine Colt, and Amanda Cerny — the hottie in this article. We gotta say, the ads are some of the sexiest that we’ve ever seen for water, with absolutely NO complaints out of us at all, by the way.
According to the company, 138 Water is a “premium, purified drinking water that is processed using reverse osmosis, carbon and micro filtration and is UV and ozone treated with electrolytes added to ensure a crisp, clear taste.” The bottles themselves have clever names like Bossy Black, Cool Blue, Going Green, Sunshine Yellow, Outrageous Orange, Sexy Red, Pretty in Pink, and Playful Purple, allowing consumers to complement their style or mood with their water.
“Millions of people across the country walk around for the better part of the day and evening with a bottle of water, so we felt it was the right time to introduce the first fashion water that plays into an individual’s sense of style,” said Thibault Mauvilain, co-founder of 138 Water. “Just like mobile phones have become a fashion accessory, we feel the same will be true of water.”
The water itself is packaged in 1-litre (33.8 oz.) bottles, with a suggested retail price is $1.99 per bottle. Bottles are constructed of 100% recyclable BPA-free plastic, and are sold both individually and in six-packs of each colour.
The company says that 138 Water is a brand for people who “love water, fashion, colour and choices.” We think that if they keep up what they’re doing, they’re gonna change the hydration game.
