Dr. Love: Meant To Be?

Waiting around for your ex to come back? See what the Doctor has to say about it.

You’ve heard the phrase “If you love something, let it go. If it was meant to be, it’ll come back to you.”, or some form of it, right? Of course you have. We ALL have at some point. Someone sent me an email, asking me what I thought of the phrase, because their lady had recently broken up with them for some other guy. So here is what I think about it, and it applies to ANYONE’S relationship.

First of all, all this is a bullshit statement, and I’m really starting to hate hearing it. The thing you have to ask yourself is do you REALLY want to be with them then? If you’re the person that did the leaving, then the answer is more than likely yes, because you probably left for someone else, thinking that the “grass is greener on the other side”.

If you’re the person that got left, you should really think about the scenario, and honestly ask yourself, “do I really want it to happen all over again?” “Why wasn’t I worth it in the first place?” Like I just said, would you REALLY want to be with them at that point ? After they had been screwing someone else? Do you HONESTLY want to do that to yourself? Think about it.

Listen, do yourself a favor, and hold out for someone that really wants to be with you. Don’t be attached to pleasant memories, awesome sex, blah blah blah. You got left hanging, plain and simple. Push on with your life, and push them out of it, because chances are very good that if they did it once, they’ll do it again. And why the hell would you want to do that to yourself?

If you’re the person that did the leaving, go fuck yourself. You knew better.
