We like vampires. The hot female ones. Like Salma Hayek in “From Dusk Till Dawn“, and Kate Beckinsale in “Underworld“. But the first hot chick vampire we ever loved was Vampirella.
We’ve managed to find photos of a woman cosplaying Vampirella, in her signature red thong suit. And as always, if you know who this woman is, please let us know!
If you don’t know a lot about this blood-drinking hottie, here’s some info:
First appearing in her own comic in 1969, Vampirella comes from the planet Drakulon, a world where people lived on blood and where blood flowed in rivers. The Vampiri (Vampirella’s race), were able to transform themselves into bats at will, sprout wings when required, and drink blood.
In the first issue, the inhabitants of Drakulon are dying due to the drying up of the planet’s blood, because Draculon orbits twin suns that were causing droughts across the planet. A spaceship from Earth crash lands onto the planet, and Vampirella is sent to investigate. The astronauts attack Vampy, and when she fights back, she discovers that the astronauts have blood in their veins. In order for her race to survive, she manages to pilot the ship back to Earth, and becomes a “good” vampire, and ridding our world of the “evil” kind of vampires.
We know that actress/model Julie Strain and model Masuimi Max have previously donned Vampirella costumes. The absolute second we get our hands on those pics, we guarantee you that they’ll be in a future Cosplay Girls article.
